Shade sail design ideas with 2 hypar shade sails

We’ve come up with a few shade sail design ideas using two hypar shade sails to help visualize what a concept will look like in your area. These designs are all able to be fit in most residential shade and commercial applications.

Each example is what we like to call a “Double Hypar” configuration a common yet cost effective shade sail structure for all areas. Each of these 3 designs could easily be duplicated in an array. For example down a walkway at an airport further more a school entrance.

These designs can be scaled to most any height, span, in addition each shade sail can be skewed to fit oddly shaped areas.

Example 1 below is a 7 column design with 2 overlapping Hypar shade sails. The 7th column gives the ability cross the shade sails over each other for a smaller gap of light between each shade sail.

Example 2 is a 6 column design with one of the columns fabricated at an angle to achieve a crossover. Having one less column in an area can really maximize the use of the shaded area.

Example 3 shown below is your most common shade sail design a 6 column double hypar. This design is as simple as they get with all straight cut columns with no cross over with the shade sails.
