Shade sail Cable and Hardware explained..
Once a shade sail is installed correctly or tensioned into place it is now under a static load. Every day with or without wind that shade sail is pulling on whatever it is connected to. The hardware you use to install your shade sail is very important. Average stainless and zinc hardware is still very soft or malleable so over time it bends or stretches past it useable state. This makes hardware on shade sails one of the most common reasons why a shade sail actual tears or fails. The stainless hardware we work with is structural grade hardware will load characteristics to handle the stress a shade sails is going to put on it. It’s important you use hardware with a Working Load Limit of no less than 2 times the estimated maximum load of the shade sail.
Shade sail Tread Explained..
Standard Polyester thread or outdoor awning thread simply does not hold up the harsness of the sun and the tension of the shade sails. The thread we would with is Gore’s Tenara Thread, it is a PTFE Thread. Tenara Thread is on the best we could be using it carries a Lifetime warranty and or the warranty it is used on. In our case we offer and strongly suggest MonoTec 370 it carries a 15 year warranty well so would your thread.
Steel Columns and Frames..
ArchiFab USA’s steel fabricators are some of the most talented fabricators in the southwest. There is no project to big or to small these guys can’t take on for you. Once the steel columns or custom fabricated structural steel supports are complete we send them off to be powder coated customer for each customer.
If galvanized steel is required for your project we do have resources to have your steel galvanized.
